Patrol Ready Carry
This carry
profile is useful for military type patrol operations
where the long gun will be carried in a hostile environment
for an extended period of time. During these types of
operations, keeping the weapon shouldered can rapidly
fatigue the operator. However, it's still critical that
the weapon be constantly ready to quickly return hostile
fire. This carry mode is particularly suitable for this.
Carried in this mode, the weapon continuously covers the
threat area, even while the operator has his non firing
hand removed from the weapon to signal, operate comm.
gear, etc. While we don't advocate firing from the hip,
if the target presents itself very close, and the necessity
to return immediate fire is very high, the weapon may
be fired from the hip, as well as throughout the movement
to the shoulder mount.
